We plan on filming today, December 16. We are doing it on Lorrainne Road. Our goal is to capture more dialogue into out story and make the chase more intense.

We filmed our beginning shots on Tuesday, December 10. We didn't actually end up filming on Saturday because I got into a car accident so I had to use my brothers car on Tuesday. It went well and we got all of the shots we needed for the first minute. We filmed for two hours from 7 to 9 at the Sarasota courthouse garage, trying to get everything right. We have to move our filming day for Loraine road to Monday, which will be December 16. We plan on doing our car chase and matching the lighting with the first scene.

We have chose to use the Hollywood 11 movie theater parking garage to shoot the beginning of our movie. This parking garage is the best fit because it is mostly empty allowing there to be no distractions in the shots    Our second location is going to be Lorraine Road. This road will be a perfect fit for shooting because it is a very well lite road and is for the most part not a busy road allowing us to be able to film long without having to stop and wait for cars to go by.

In this storyboard I am one of the actors. I am being chased up the stairs in this first scene, which shows that there is some sort of chaos and makes you wonder why i am being chased. In the fourth piece I escaped into my car and Erik is chasing me in his car. This shows that i am on the run the entire time and do not want to get caught. With me driving really fast in my car adds a more intense, crazy mood.

I am running upstairs in the first shot. The second shot is a close up of me. I contributed to most shots in the film because i am being chased and on the run in the film. In the car scenes i am one of the drivers. 

We planned to use two days to film, which are Saturday and Tuesday. We are doing it at night so that there are less cars on the road and less people around. We have to plan it to where the lighting in the videos will match and to where you will be able to see clearly. Our goal for Saturday is to film Erik in his car actually chasing Makayla in her car. Our goal for Tuesday is to shoot all of the scenes in the parking garage for the very beginning with the dialogue. On Tuesday we also are filming the scene where Makayla swerves around another car in the street. An overall goal is to make sure the lighting looks the same and flows together.

Erik: Erik is playing as the good guy in this film. He is going to be chasing Makayla to try and catch her from doing anything bad. Erik is frustrated while chasing Makayla because he doesn't want her to get away. Erik is best fit for this role because he is the nicer one out of us and he would never be the one to do anything wrong so he is playing the good guy. Makayla: Makayla is playing as the bad guy in this film. She is running away from Erik during this film. She has done something bad and Erik is trying to catch her for it. Makayla is best fit for this role because she is very crazy. She is rebellious and tries to act like she can get away with everything. She also drives a little crazy which is perfect for the film because she is being chased.

There is not much of the story told in the beginning of the movie. There were any close up shots, aerial shots, wide shots, and mid shots. There were also many short takes and jump cuts. The scene had many sound affects as well as dialogue. the mis-en-scene that was displayed were the cars in the film, the car part props and the outfits the characters were wearing. The budget for the movie was 38 million. the movie made 98.2 million worldwide. The movie Rush has won the BAFTA Award for Best Editing and Festival Film Bandung untuk film impor drama laga terpuji.

In the first two minutes of Need for Speed, there is not a lot told about the story, just cars and the obvious that the movie is about racing. There are many point of view shots of what the driver sees, establishing shots of where they are, and aerial shot of the cars driving down the road. There is also mis-en-scene in the movie where the cars are being used as well as the outfits the actors are wearing. There are also a lot of short takes as well as sound effects and voice overs. The budget for Need for Speed was 66 million. It ended up making $96.1 million internationally. Need for Speed was nominated for the Independent Feature Film, The Best Music Supervision for Trailers and the Best Stunts Award. The one award that they did win was the Taurus Award (Best Work with a Vehicle.)

The beginning of this movie did not really show a lot of the story line. There were many establishing shots in the first couple minutes as well as close ups. Mom of it was mainly short takes and sound effects such as the music playing in the car and the squealing of the tires. There was also mis-en-scene with the props, such as the car, and the outfits that the actors were wearing. The budget for the movie was $16 million. The movie grossed from $78.1 to $81 million.  The movie was nominated for Golden Globe Award for best supporting actor, academy award for best sound editing, BAFTA award for best film, independent spirit award for best male lead, empire award for best director and tons more. The movie actually only ended up winning the one, which was for best sound editing.

In the beginning of the movie Baby Driver there was not much of the story that was told. It was more of a lead into the movie. There were many close ups, point of view shots, and wide shots. In editing, there were some eye-line matches as well as insert shots. There was also source music in the background playing. In mis-en-scene they used the car that was driven throughout the movie and their "bank robbing" outfits were what the actors were wearing. The movie had a budget of 34 million and brought in 107.8 million. The movie was nominated for academy award best sound mixing, academy award for best sound editing, academy award for best film editing, and empire award for best director, etc. The movie also won empire award for best soundtrack, NME award for best film and empire award for best production design.

The first film we chose is Fast and Furious 1. Fast and Furious 1 is an action film. At the beginning first two minutes of the movie, there was not much that was told about the story. There were many different film making techniques that they used in the opening shots, such as close ups of the cars and insert shots of the setting. There were also over the shoulder shots in the beginning. When it comes to the editing part of the movie, there were many short takes through the opening. You can also tell how the shots were taken, for example the car scenes move smoothly when they are racing, you can tell that a dolly or tract is being used. There is also mis-en-scene when it comes to the cars that the drivers owned and were driving and also what the construction workers were wearing. The films budget for the movie was 38 million and the film made 207.3 million. My decision for the project is the film project. What i think will be good about doing this project would be getting to work with my group to do this. We all get along well and I think that we will do really great. I am a bit of a perfectionist so I think that will be good for this project. We would like to do our film project on cars. This really interest me because I love cars, especially fast ones, and that is what we are going to do ours on. There are two other members in my group, so it is the three of us. We will be using my cars and one of Eriks cars, which are fast and good looking ones. This will be good for my group because we are all really good about getting our work done. We want to do something that we will be really proud of.

The aspects of film production that interest me would be getting to work together to act out something. It seems more enjoyable to get to work as a group to come together to make a short clip of something that you would all enjoy. I also like the aspect of getting to act and speak to make the plot, instead of just writing something. I feel as if i would excel more in getting to use dialogue and express what i am trying to say by filming. I am a big talker and like to speak to explain something rather than having to type it all out. What might make the film a challenge for me would be having to have the perfect angles and words to explain everything to make sense. I feel as if it may be a little more frustrating to come together to make a film. But i do think that the end results of making a film will be pretty cool to work out.

I feel as if feature writing in journalism interests me. It provides interpretation of trends, events, topics or people. The designing aspect of making a magazine really interests me because you can design it the way you would like to. I also think that taking the pictures for the magazine would be easier than having to film shots until you get the perfect one. The shots could be more random, but in the movie everything has to come together and make sense. Also, when doing a magazine you can chose what you may want to talk about and what interests you. You have a whole page to write about the topic that you may like, including the pictures. When doing a movie, you have to have people with you to act out a scene and get all of the right angles. I also like how when doing the magazine you could have different topics that somewhat relate to each other. Writing seems to be easier than making a film, when writing you can express how you feel with the words you write. But, when filming, you ...
